I recently purchased a RoboClaw 2X25. When I query the version I get "RoboClaw 10.1A V1.3.9"
The documentation shows 10.2A. What is the difference from 10.1A and 10.2A? Is it something I should update?

A typo in the model number was found and fixed. 10.2A indicated 10amp, 2 motors. The "1" was a typo we fixed after a couple had already shipped. There is no other difference. It has all the same functionality as the fixed version.

If that's the case, shouldn't I be seeing a version 25.2A since I bought a 2X25 controller?

Hmm. I don't remember if we had any of that batch that went out with the typo affecting any of the 25s. There is no easy way to tell a 10 from a 25 unless you take the heatsink off which we don't recommend. If you have heat sink paste to replace whats going to come off you can do it though. After taking off the heatsink look at the mosfets(they are eight chips on the bottom of the board). If they are leadless(have no pins) then it is a 25, otherwise they are 10s. This only applies to the rev 1.3.9 boards and earlier(for future reference). Or you can send it back in and we'll check and replace it if it is the wrong one, or reprogram it with the typo fixed if it is the correct one.
