Are there any special settings beside the microcontroller mode 1 used in connecting the RoboClaw 2x25 up to a Stamp BS2?
Has anyone done this before? If so, is there example code to make forward, reverse, right and left work?
Thanks

There are many ways of connecting the RoboClaw to a micro. Based on your post I assume you want to use RC mode with the MCU setting(eg one pulse will get it going). If that is the case you just need to use the pulsout command and send a pulse from 1000 to 2000us. A pulse of 1500us will stop the motor. 2000us will go full forward and 1000us full reverse.

Also read the datasheet. There are alot of examples in there on how to use simple serial and packet serial as well. You should be able to make fairly minor modifications to the examples to get it working on the BasicStamp as well.
