 Post subject: Manual error on page 7.

I was taken aback a few minutes ago when I opened the Reference_Manual 2.0 for the first time and discovered that Microsoft created the BASIC language. (page 7) This was quite an accomplishment considering Bill Gates was probably 5 years old at the time. I know the guy started out young but seriously? I hope the next 266 pages of the manual are more error free that this.

Not that it matters But I did not read the manual that way. :lol:
The manual says:

Consistent with Wikipidia which mentioned:

The original BASIC was designed in 1964 by John George Kemeny and Thomas Eugene Kurtz at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, USA


The manual than says:
Quote:
It was the first product created by Microsoft in the early days for one of the first home built programmable computers called the Altair.
Which again if you look up Microsoft in Wikipedia it says:

Established on April 4, 1975 to develop and sell BASIC interpreters for the Altair 8800, ...


But then again I normally skip over this type of stuff...
