Hi All,
Recently I came across the FlashFly manufactured by Blue Wolf Inc. They seem to have a product that works with the Basic Stamp Series microcontroller that allows it to be repgrammed wirelessly through Xbee modules and supporting hardware. The site is: http://www.bluewolfinc.com/products/FlashFly-Serial-Kit-Ready-to-go-kit.html The question I have is, will this device work with the Basic Atom Pro series modules to allow a user to reprogram the microcontroller wirelessly? If not out-of-the-box, does anyone know how to make modifications for changes or even another suggested method to reprogram wirelessly? Thank in advance.

-Jack

After a while I decided to give this another go. And the answer to the question is YES! The flashfly system will work. However it will require updating the Xbee S1 profiles to 115200 baud rate. The profiles can be downloaded from Blue Wolf's website. However one little sticky situation you may encounter is the XB24 Firmware 10E8 is not installed with the latest version of X-CTU 5.2.7.5 I had to go to their FTP site (http://ftp1.digi.com/support/firmware/update/xbee/) to download the xb24_15_4_10e8 firmware and add it to the \\Digi\XCTU\update\xbee directory. Once that was done, the XCTU was able to read the Xbee S1 module that comes with the FlashFly kit. I then proceeded to change the baud rate to 115200 bps and was able to reprogram the BAP24 PRO wirelessly.....Success! However the programming time was 1/3 or 1/2 times slower than what you would see programming with the BasicATOM USB Dev Board. Regardless, you can reprogram wireless and that should make up for the slower programming speed. I hope this helps.
