Reading these forms, reading Lynxmotions BasicMicro forums. Writing simple programs that do simple things like blinking an LED. There are lots of examples all over the forums. I'd also recommend buying a book on Basic(not Visual Basic). You need to understand programming basics, like variables, constants, conditional, loops etc...

Greetings All,

While this is an "older" book I did purchase it when I first begin working with the Basicmicro NANOs products a few years back; it did help but I believe that there has been a few codes changes since the printing of the book. I would strongly suggest printing out the manual which is available in the download link at www.basicmicro.com as that has helped me personally the most.

I like the manual as it has improve greatly over the past two years (thanks Nathan) but my teaching experience tells me that there needs to be more code examples for "us" to reverse engineer.

Here is a link for the book: http://www.amazon.com/Programming-Basic-Atom-Microcontroller-Microcontrollers/dp/1440479763/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329756135&sr=8-1

Good luck-Brian

PS: Nathan, I would be willing to throw together some additional sample code that I would be willing to write for the manual this summer if you are interested; otherwise I'll just add them to my blogspot.

We are always interested in code samples/examples. Please email me whatever you want. I'll get it added to the library and/or manual asap.
