Try this and see if it works. I used constants for the pins and it works for me.
Select the text below and paste into the IDE.

' Test LCD AtomPro24M K.Regester 5/23/2003
' Hook LCD (14 pin connection) up as below
' LCD CONNECTION
' 1 GND
' 2 +5VDC
' 3 GND
' 4 ATOMPRO PIN 8
' 5 ATOMPRO PIN 9
' 6 ATOMPRO PIN 10
' 7 NONE
' 8 NONE
' 9 NONE
' 10 NONE
' 11 ATOMPRO PIN 11
' 12 ATOMPRO PIN 12
' 13 ATOMPRO PIN 13
' 14 ATOMPRO PIN 14

RegSel con p8 ' R/S LCD
RdWrPin con p9 ' R/W LCD
CLK con p10 ' Enable
DB4 con p11 ' use upper 4 bits
DB5 con p12
DB6 con p13
DB7 con p14

LCDINIT RegSelCLKDB7DB6DB5DB4,RdWrPin
LCDWRITE RegSelCLKDB7DB6DB5DB4,RdWrPin, [TWOLINE,CLEAR, SCR] ' Set 2 line display, clears screen, turn off cursor & blink
PAUSE 100
LCDWRITE RegSelCLKDB7DB6DB5DB4,RdWrPin, ["Voila, It Works"]
