Is it always the same value or is it random? Are you using one ov our usb adapters or development boards with USB or someone elses? Are you using RS232 instead of USB? What kind of PC are you using(speed, model etc). That error is definitely caused by bad connections or problems with the PC/usb adapter. The verify load error happens when after the loader routine is loaded into ram it is then read back to verify it was properly loaded. It is failing that check. Since it is being loaded into ram and not flash it is not an error that can happen due to bad program memory.
