I was going to try and use Hyperterm this weekend to send commands and see what I would receive for feedback.
I do think I have another option with the 4D LCD...it appears that you can simply flash the firmware and I can have a version which uses a built-in scripting language that can output information through a serial port. Frankly it may be better to use the b/i scripting language for the graphics and buttons I want to use anyways.
BUT I did put a blurb in for someone there to develop some code for Stamp users (for obvious reasons). I have checked the Parallax forums but is seems that no one has used this LCD display! There seems to be several etailers that sell differant 4D displays including Sparkfun but nothing there either (unless you are working with Arduinos which BTW 4D offers a "shield" for).
It is funny that I have been able to interface temp chips, ADCs/DACs, eeproms and Xbee wireless modules with only minor problems (again, due to my lack of programming skills) but I still managed to get them to run! I'll see how I fair with 4D's scripting lanuage...if I still have problems there the unit is getting RMAed!
Again..thanks for all the support guys!
PS: Where can one download the beta versions of the IDE/manaul

I need to test a new laser printer!
