Post subject: Which software - which manual?
PostPosted: Wed Feb 14, 2007 11:00 pm
As an "occasional" Atom user, I only play around with them intermittantly. I have some older 24 pin atoms and some that I have bought recently.

Question is, which version of the software and which manual should I be using?

(I seem to be having a great deal of trouble with serin/serout or hserin on my present project. - But this could be down to the sending/receiving device.)

The most recent 'Atom' IDE I have is marked in the 'About' box as 2.2.1.1. I suspect it's actually 2.2.1.3 or so.

The Atom IDE is a free download, so you might just want to use that. Recently BasicMicro has been revising the MBasic IDE to support the 18F series of PIC processors. But you probably don't want that one yet, and it's NOT a free download.

I keep copies of all the manuals for reference, and sometimes will scan them all for answers.
