Post subject: Slooooooooowwwww load for atom 28
PostPosted: Tue May 06, 2008 10:00 pm
I have been using atom 24s and 28s for some time now and have had little problem downloading programs to them. However, it seems like the 28s I have gotten recently take a looooooong time to download. Eventually the load completes with no errors but instead of taking 30 seconds, it takes 10 minutes. If I use a "older" atom, everything is normal. Anyone have any ideas. BTW, I am using 2.2.1.1

Thanks,
Rick

I don't have the IDE on this laptop. But I believe there's a "retry interval" in the IDE that you can 'tweak' to a 'better value'.

I've found "slow loads" to happen because the confirmation messages back from the Atom are getting garbled (bad cable) or happening 'too fast' or 'too slow' for the IDE to get the first one, so they have to be 're-sent' with slow-downs.

Tweaking the IDE serial parameters can help. So can replacing the cable if you haven't tried that already.
