Hi. Try their 1-800-535-9161 number again. I have made 6 calls in the last two weeks and gotten someone each time.

Yes, they have been difficult to reach the last two months. Their phone system got revamped and no one could reach them for weeks. One person even came to the forums asking where he could place an order for parts, he couldn't even reach sales!
Their "real shop" is in San Diego, I just sent a package there. They do exist, though you'd be forgiven for thinking otherwise at times. When you send your Atoms in for repairs you'll get the address. BTW, I repaired several Atom OEM boards for someone who used to be a regular visitor here. So, are these Atoms boards, modules, interpreter chips, or what? Tell us about them and let us help.

Later!

kenjj,

Thanks for the speedie reply.

Murrieta...San Diego....I guess that makes sense????? - or not!!!! I will have to try that number and see if I can get through as well.

Anyway, I described my problems in posts on this forum earlier this year. There is only 2 so just look for my user name.

In a nutshell, I have 2 atom 40's [modules] that I cannot talk to. I get the ever popular "atom must be connected....." message. However, if I remove the 40 and plug in 24 or a 28, it works. These 40's have never worked since I got them. That is one reason I was trying to get hold of BM. BTW, I am using 2.2.1.1

The other problem is this. Every atom 28 I have purchased in the past year or so has had a slow [like 10 minutes] download problem. Eventually the load will finish and the verify will run at normal speed. Once the program is loaded, the program port will run at proper speed when used as a data port.

I can remove the "new" atom 28 and replace it with an "old" atom 28 and it will download fine. Again, I am using 2.2.1.1. I understand that it is the latest working version. Go figure.

Thanks for your help,
Rick

RickC, I did a search on your name. And, yes, we have talked about these issues before. I have shared everything I know on both subjects. So, if no one else steps in with a solution here, it looks like you have to talk to BM to resolve your problem. Failing that, you can send me the modules and let me have a look at them. I don't promise anything, but I have had some (limited) luck with their OEM boards so far. You'd have to send the board you designed and built yourself as well.

'Luck!
